I'm a Brazilian journalist, writer, photographer and musician, graduated at the University of São Paulo (USP) with a master degree in Digital Journalism from the New York University (NYU). I've been documenting social and environmental issues across Brazil and the world for more than 20 years.
For seven years I worked at Terra magazine, one of the first and most significant printed publications in Brazil about conservation, conscious travel and cultural diversity. I started as a reporter and left as an executive editor, after publishing about 50 stories across more than 30 countries. Currently, I produce content for books, magazines and digital media. I have about 20 books written, focused on subjects like natural resources, sustainability, social development and cultural heritage. I'm also an editor at Mongabay environmental news agency in Brazil. In parallel with my career as a journalist, I'm also a musician and a researcher of Brazilian cultural traditions. I studied piano and conducting at the Municipal School of Music of São Paulo. With Nhambuzim band, I released two albums as a composer, pianist and musical director. [email protected] |
