Agroecology in the Caatinga

In northern Bahia, communities have come together to conserve and restore more than 40,000 hectares of Caatinga, the Brazilian dry forest. With projects such as Recaatingamento and Agrocaatinga, families learn to preserve native vegetation, control goat overpopulation, and invest in sustainable sources of income, such as the extraction of native fruits.
